Jacob Cummings, a multi-disciplinary artist and musician originally from Jacksonville, Florida, brings his unique narrative to life in his debut studio album, Southern & Enlightened. Forth+Back collaborated closely with Jacob to design the album packaging, capturing the authenticity of his roots while adding an intimate, eclectic touch.
Drawing inspiration from personal photography, sketchbook illustrations contributed by friends and family, and collage cut-outs, the design offers listeners a visual journey through snapshots of Jacob’s life. This layered, immersive approach embodies both the nostalgia of Jacksonville and the vibrant, forward-thinking energy of his current home in Los Angeles.
